Everyone from the Camerons was present, including Sierra, who looked upset and much more well- behaved, and Joseph, who had a complicated gaze.
Maggie completely ignored the two of them and looked at Master Cameron, excitedly saying, ‘Grandpa, William agreed to help me with the Herschire Cultural Park project.”
Upon hearing this, Master Cameron, Madam Cameron, and Ronald showed great joy.
“Really?” Master Cameron was full of joy, standing up from his chair.
Maggie nodded affirmatively and replied, “Mr. Hansley confirmed it himself.”
“Great! Wonderful! You’ve done well! Master Cameron clapped his hands vigorously, clearly very satisfied.
Although the Herschire Cultural Park project wasn’t particularly profitable, it was an excellent opportunity for the Camerons to establish connections with the government. The Camerons had always been a second–tier wealthy family, mainly because they had money but no power.
In recent years, the overall environment had been poor, leading to the Camerons‘ situation worsening. If they weren’t careful, they could fall into the third–tier wealthy family category.
If they could secure more government projects in the future and establish relationships, they would have the opportunity to participate in many other projects. This was what Master Cameron was after.

The atmosphere in the room cooled down as he spoke.
Master Cameron had intentionally not asked Maggie how she got the project. After all, they were well aware of William’s reputation for being lustful and playful.
However, he didn’t expect Joseph to ask so bluntly.
Maggie wasn’t annoyed but looked at Joseph with some confusion. “Joseph, don’t you believe in my abilities?”
Joseph was left speechless with that one sentence, not knowing how to continue questioning.
Last night, he had seen Maggie escape and get into someone else’s car. William had played late into the night, yet he had let Maggie, a stunning beauty, go.
“Or, I could talk to Mr. Hansley again and tell him that the Camerons aren’t interested in this project, so he doesn’t need to bother.
Maggie spoke with a smile, but her words were sharp.
Joseph looked at the woman in front of him. He had never imagined that Maggie would talk to him like this. He had only asked a question, and she had put up all her defenses, leaving no room for negotiation.
Master Cameron immediately frowned upon hearing this and sternly said, “How can this be? Joseph, don’t be ridiculous!”
Joseph held back his anger and remained silent, staring at Maggie without speaking.
“Maggie, you’ll have to work hard during this period. Hurry up and get the design draft ready. After winning the bid, you’ll be mainly responsible for this project, Master Cameron said gently.
“Don’t worry, Grandpa, I will do my best, Maggie nodded in response, looking serious.
“Sierra, go get your sister’s jewelry. What are you waiting for? Return what you promised to your sister.” Master Cameron said in a deep voice.
Sierra’s eyes were red, clearly upset.
However, it was evident that a decision had already been made regarding this matter. Despite her initial. reluctance, she eventually turned around and went upstairs.
Soon, Sierra arrived with a servant carrying five or six sets of jewelry.
Maggie knew that these were Master Cameron’s way of rewarding her. Businessmen only cared about profits. Compared to the unhelpful and stubborn Sierra, Maggie, as a useful pawn, needed to be appeased.
“Maggie, please check if they are correct.”
Maggie briefly glanced over them and could tell that these items were probably the ones Sierra didn’t like very much.
But she didn’t mind. She had no intention of keeping them anyway. Selling these things wouldn’t make much of a difference in terms of money.

Maggie pretended to hesitate, but Master Cameron made the decision for her and allowed her to take them away.
Maggie was satisfied. After collecting the items, she said, “Grandpa, if there’s nothing else, I’ll go back first. I’ve been busy with the design drafts recently, and time is tight.”
Upon hearing about the overall design and planning of Herschire Cultural Park, Master Cameron didn’t want to delay her and urged, “Go ahead. Take these things with you and let the driver take you home.”
After a moment of silence, Master Cameron added, “If it’s not feasible, you can move back here. We have everything you need at home, and it’s more convenient than living alone outside.”
“Maybe later. I have a lot of stuff. It’s troublesome to mo
around.
Seeing this, Master Cameron didn’t insist. Maggie’s g
fell on Sierra, who looked sullen yet unusually obedient. She gently asked, “Sierra, would you like to go for a walk with me?”
Sierra probably didn’t expect Maggie to approach her first. With red eyes, she looked at Maggie, curious. about her intentions.
“Okay.
Seeing Sierra’s response, Ronald nodded and said, “It’s good for you sisters to have a good chat. We’re all family. We shouldn’t let this cause a rift.”
Maggie and Sierra walked together to the courtyard. Once alone, Sierra stopped, stared coldly at Maggie, and said, “Maggie, don’t be so arrogant! You’re just an illegitimate child. The Camerons are giving you the things I don’t want, just to make you feel pleased.”
Maggie curved her crimson lips. Her almond–shaped eyes were icy, with a hint of disdain in her gaze. She chuckled and replied, “You’re right. You are the legitimate offspring of the Camerons, and I am not. But do you know why Grandpa gave me these things?”
Sierra remained silent, staring at her coldly.
Maggie leaned closer and whispered, “Because, to the Camerons, you are useless. Without me, the design drafts for Herschire Cultural Park cannot be completed.”
Maggie’s words struck Sierra deeply.
With teary eyes, she pushed Maggie away. “Maggie, you despicable person! Don’t be so smug! Don’t assume that you will win every time just because you won once!”
Maggie raised an eyebrow, her voice gentle. “But as it stands, it seems that I am the one who consistently emerges victorious. Perhaps next time, I will want the properties and cars under your name. Do you think Grandpa will grant them to me?”
